“Growing up in northern isolation, I found myself conforming to fashion normalities to avoid sticking out like a sore thumb. I spent years chomping at the bit to relocate to a more expressive city, which eventually lead me to where I belonged; living as a broke musician and artist in Toronto, unapologetically free to express myself. With limited funds and a vivid imagination, I began to dabble in the art of repurposing thrifted and vintage clothing. Some fabric paint, scissors and a simple needle and thread were the only tools I needed to turn one persons "trash" into my very own nugget of gold. I am very creatively influenced by the past; from the perfect imperfection of the grunge era to the monochromatic simplicity of the 1960s. I want to carry this nostalgia into the future, and marry it with the present. Transcending time through wearable art, while simultaneously protecting our environment by shopping sustainably and straying from fast fashion. My intent is to consistently blend my musical world with my designs. Drawing inspiration from my lyrics and musical themes to create an exclusive, gender-less and sustainable merch line.”
